Welcome to All Things AI ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website, allthingsai.org, our event registration services, and your attendance at our events, including the All Things AI Conference and local meetups (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing the Services, registering for an event, or subscribing to our communications, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Use of the Services
You may use the Services only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:
- Interfere with or disrupt the Services, or attempt to access accounts, systems, or data without authorization.
- Scrape, harvest, or collect information about other users without their consent.
- Impersonate any person or organization or misrepresent your affiliation.
- Use the Services to send unsolicited commercial messages.
2. Accounts and Registration
When you register for an event or create an account, you agree to provide accurate, current information and to keep it updated. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your registration. We may decline, suspend, or cancel a registration that violates these Terms or our Code of Conduct.
3. Event Registration and Tickets
- Registration for our events is subject to availability and any eligibility requirements stated at the time of registration.
- Where tickets are sold, prices, applicable fees, and payment terms are presented at purchase. Payments are processed by our third-party payment processors; we do not store full payment card details (see our Privacy Policy).
- Refunds and transfers are governed by the refund policy presented during registration and available on our website. [Current policy: refunds and transfers available through March 16, 2027 for All Things AI 2027 — confirm this is the policy of record.]
- Tickets are for personal use and may not be resold at a markup or used for commercial promotion without our written consent.
4. Event Conduct
Attendance at our events is subject to our Code of Conduct. We reserve the right to refuse entry to, or remove, any person who violates it, without refund where the violation is material.
5. Photography, Recording, and Likeness
Our events are recorded and photographed. By attending, you grant All Things AI and its co-producers a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use photographs, video, and audio captured at the event — which may include your image, likeness, and voice — for archival, educational, and promotional purposes. If you have concerns about a specific use, contact us at info@allthingsai.org.
6. Content and Intellectual Property
- The Services and their content (excluding speaker materials and user submissions) are owned by All Things AI or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may not reproduce or distribute them except as permitted for personal, non-commercial use.
- Speaker slides, recordings, and materials remain the property of their respective owners and are shared under the terms those owners set.
- If you submit content to us (for example, a talk proposal), you retain ownership and grant us a non-exclusive license to review, display, and promote it in connection with our events.
7. Third-Party Services
The Services link to and rely on third-party services (payment processors, newsletter delivery, video hosting). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
8. Disclaimers
The Services and our events are provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that event programming, speakers, or venues will not change. Session lineups, schedules, and venues are subject to change without notice.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, All Things AI and its co-producers, organizers, sponsors, and volunteers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Services or attendance at an event. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us for the event or service giving rise to the claim.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless All Things AI and its co-producers from claims arising out of your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Services.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. [Confirm NC + venue preference.]
